"Fun, competitive duplicate bridge at a very convenient location"

FOR CURRENT GAME RESULTS go to www.BridgeWebs.com/nwdbc

For each game, several kinds of Results information may be available.  Click "Rank & Recap" to see the same form of printout that is posted on the wall at a Sectional tournament.  Click "Pairs & Boards" to see two sets of listings, first an individual summary for each pair, and then a board-by-board listing similar to the travelers (except not listing contracts).  Finally, for some games, hand records of all hands or a few key boards will be available by clicking the third box.

Results are usually posted to this page of our website within 24 hours of the completion of each game. Players have another 24 hours to send the director e-mail if they see a scoring problem that needs correction. That ends the correction period, and problems reported after that must unfortunately be ignored.

Dear Bridge Club,

The 12-table game which I ran on Monday morning at Temple Reyim produced various problems with the scoring.  Essentially, I erred in placing the bye stand between tables 5 and 6 instead of between 6 and 7 when setting up a relay/bye stand movement.  I recovered from this error by introducing additional boards that were only in play at tables 6 and 12.  The resulting non-standard movement retained the good features of having each E-W play against each N-S pair with nobody playing the same board twice, but could not be scored using the standard methods of ACBLscore.  Instead, I laboriously created old-style travellers for each board and then entered all the results into an EXCEL spreadsheet from which I was able to produce final rankings and MP awards.  I attach the .xls file for those EXCEL mavens who are interested in the details of  the scoring.  Click here for the file.

I am also pasting a section of that spreadsheet into this mail message, so that all participants can easily see an overview of how they did.  A hardcopy of the spreadsheet with board-by-board details will be on the bulletin board at the Temple.

Thank you for your patience.  There are several good ways to run a 12-table game and this was not one of them.  Saul Agranoff has provided me the web-style movement and I will print up those guide cards for the next time I need to run a 12-table event.

Here are the final rankings:
