With the Fall Regional going on up the road in Nashua, NH, we expected a smaller
than usual crowd, and I was pleased when 7 3/4 tables showed up. I played to fill
in the movement to an even 8 tables. With fewer tables, we would likely have had
to play a Howell movement, but with eight tables, we could play a relay and bye-
stand movement which permits all pairs to play all of the 24 boards.
No corrections were reported at the club, and my complete rechsecking found only
one problem:
Board 1 NS 4 v EW 7 -480 not -780 my funblefingers
Neither pair involved was in contention and no scores changed by more that 1/2
MP, so this correction had no effect on the rankings.
Congratulations to Lew Gamerman and Sheila Gabay for the best score in the room
at over 63%. but only 1/2 MP ahead of Larry Gray and Neela Dandekar.
With only one section, I award Free Plays to only two pairs, the section tops.
Marina and Marlene were first East-West, by a full board over David Gross and
Steve Root.
Next Monday is a Club Championship, and there will be an IMP Pairs game in
three weeks.
