Larry Hanerfeld reported the following correction by e-mail:
Section B. Board 8 NS 7 v EW 4 -250 not +250
The score had indeed been entered in the wrong column on the traveler, but the contract
of 3C/S down 5 should surely be a plus score for E-W. I have fixed this score, and it
costs Larry and Anita 3 MP and gives Jim Stam and Alan Toledano 3 MP, but neither of
these changes is enough to affect either pair's ranking. This change does not affect
the masterpoint awards for any pair.

We had 17 tables for this post-Labor Day regular Tuesday evening duplicate. Section A
had nine tables, and Section B had 8 tables, playing a relay and bye-stand movement.
Both sections played 24 boards. Top on all boards is 7.
No corrections were reported at the club, but my complete rechecking found one error:
Section B. Board 6 NS 1 v EW 8 +100 not -100 I typed into wrong column
This correction had very little effect on the rankings, but it broke a 2nd/3rd
tie in favor of Peter and Charlie.
I apologize for not being able to post the Preliminary Recap last evening. I got it
all ready to go, but was foiled by a defective version of the Microsoft FrontPage
software. I hope to have that problem fixed soon, so that I can again provide prompt
recaps after the game.
Congratulations to Yiji Starr and Rena Lieberman for the best score in the room, above
66% and 4 MP ahead of Saul Agranoff and Shekhar Sengupta in second place, with Chuck
Greenslit and Barbara Needle a close third.
With two sections, I award Free Plays to four pairs, within groups as follows:
1. Rena and Yiji for First Overall at 66.67%.
2. Harry Marsh and Michael Stevens fo first among Flight C (0-500 MP) at 53.87%,
2.5 MP ahead of Richard Saval and Louis Beckerman,
3. Barbara Needle and Chuck Greenslit for first among Flight B (500-1500 MP) at 63.35%,
more than 11 MP ahead of David andBonnie Miller, and
4. Shekhar Sengupta and Saul Agranoff for first among Limited A (1500-3000 MP) at 64.24%,
only 1.7 MP ahead of Ann Baum and Steve Groag, and only 1.9 MP ahead of Susan Kohen
and Anand Lele.
We will have a Club Championship in two weeks on September 16th. Then there will be
three games that must be moved to Westwood due to various Jewish Holidays, beginning with
Rosh Hashanah on September 30. Oct 7 we can play at Reyim, but we will be in Westwood on
both Oct 14 and Oct 21. Please mark your calendars.
