When an event is a Strati-Flighted Swiss, Flight A/X is for teams whose average MP holdings exceed 2000 MP and other teams who would prefer to compete against these top teams. Teams in Flights B and C will only play against other teams at that level, but will be stratified with the boundary chosen to make for relatively equal numbers of teams in Flights B and C.

When you enter your team, please indicate whether you want to play in Flight A/X or B/C.  If fewer than 18 teams sign up, we will have only one large stratified section.

PRE-REGISTRATION is strongly recommended for these events. Each event will be limited to a total of 32 teams, due to number of physical tables available. Pre-registration gets the game started much more smoothly because your director will have entered the names into the computer for all those registered teams, and will be able to make an early decision on stratification. The director will attempt to have an even number of teams in each flight so as to avoid any 3-way matches. The daytime Swiss usually has 16-20 tables and will be strati-flighted only if we get enough A and X entries in advance. The Tuesday night Swiss has drawn 24 to 31 teams, so sign up early. Send e-mail to the club if you need help in finding teammates. Pairs who show up at the door without teammates will be accommodated if possible, but may have to be turned away.
